Sweet Sixteen: PRCC Marketing Team Shines with 16 Awards at 2025 CPRAM Conference

91’s Marketing & Recruitment Department took home top honors, including seven first-place finishes, culminating in 16 total awards at the 2025 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi () Conference in Starkville.  

Dr. Kari Eve Valence, Director of Marketing and Recruitment for PRCC, served as Immediate Past President on the CPRAM Board for 2024 –2025. 

“It’s a true privilege to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our team,” said Valence. “Each member contributes their own creative brilliance, and together we’ve crafted a body of work that not only distinguishes us as one of the premier marketing teams in Mississippi but also reflects the heart of Pearl River, rooted in Pride, Respect, Class, and Character.” 

“These recognitions speak to the passion, innovation, and collaborative spirit that define our department. I’m immensely proud to lead a group so committed to sharing PRCC’s story with purpose and excellence.” 

Five team members represented PRCC at the event, which included educational sessions and networking opportunities with other higher education institutions. The Keynote speaker was Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Rick Bragg. 

Individuals who were part of Pearl River’s marketing efforts during 2024 include Chuck Abadie, Lauren Curtis, Dylan Dunaway, Richard Gleber, Corey Guerra, Candace Harper, McKinsy Harris, Trael Hinton, Kaitlyn Jones, Alexx Kennedy, Julianna Moore, Laura O’Neill, River Roderick, and Valence.

ABOUT CPRAM 
The College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) is a consortium of public relations professionals employed at Mississippi’s public and private colleges and universities, as well as affiliated education agencies. The annual CPRAM conference includes educational sessions, roundtable discussions, and the CPRAM Awards ceremony.
