We are excited about what our Occupational Therapy Assistant Program offers and hope you will participate! Our application deadline is May 1st at 4 PM. TRANSCRIPTS/ACT*

The applicant is responsible for ensuring their high school and previous college (if applicable) transcripts and highest ACT composite score have been received by the PRCC Admissions Office.

Please note that the program requires a minimum ACT score of 18 to apply.

Applicant’s high school or college GPA is part of the selection process and vital to acceptance. Ìý

GED/HiSet

A GED/HiSet Test Result Form with scores must be included if you completed a GED (Diploma Equivalence) program.Ìý

Use your RiverGuide credentials to complete the Occupational Therapy Assistant application.

Upon completion of the application, you will receive an email stating that your application has been received for the current program application period along with further information.

*If you have attended PRCC, please indicate this on your application as our Allied Health & CTE Support Specialists can pull that transcript from our Admissions Department.Ìý In addition, please note that e-scripts from other schools typically do not take long to receive and any information you submit will be confirmed via email.Ìý Please follow up with us if you do not receive an email confirmation in a timely manner.

Admission Point Scale**

Admission to the OTA program is competitively based upon a combination of academic GPA Ìý(high school transcript/HISET if no college), ACT score and bonus points allocation as described in the rubric.Ìý

Two bonus admission points will be given to anyone who obtains a minimum of 3 observation hours of occupational therapy in any therapy setting. Please ensure that thisÌýVerification of Observation Hours Form (PDF) is completed and uploaded with your application to receive credit.Ìý One bonus point will be awarded to anyone who attends an Information Session that our program hosts during the fall and spring semesters. The dates of such sessions will be posted on our landing page once they are finalized and you must sign in using the sheet provided during the session to get credit.Ìý Another bonus point category, “Professional Commitment” , will be awarded for the following circumstances:

Level 1: high school allied health/health sciences (2 years), first responder, personal care aide, phlebotomy, military equivalent = 1
Level 2: registered EMT, CNA, “tech” status, CCMA, or military equivalent with at least 1 year current documented work experience = 2
Level 3: LPN, BS, BA or higher degree, Associate Degree in Allied Health = 3

NOTE: Applicants will be ranked in order of highest to lowest ratings. Eligibility does not guarantee admission to the program. In the event of tied ranking, order will be
based on highest GPA, then highest composite ACT.Ìý Once selections are determined, aÌýmandatory, virtual information session must be attended prior to official program orientation in order to secure your spot on our roster.Ìý Failure to attend will forfeit your spot to an alternate candidate.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
