Job Description: This position is designed to provide modern instruction, high Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering (MSBCB) licensure pass rates, a professional environment, and a solid reputation in our communities for quality instruction and highly qualified and desired graduates for employment.

Status: FT / Professional / 11 Month

Minimum Requirements: ÌýMust have a minimum of three (3) years of successful work experience within the last five (5) years in a salon as a cosmetologist. Must be able to demonstrate successful experience in all areas of salon operation and cosmetology. Must possess a current cosmetology license from the State of Mississippi and be a licensed Cosmetology Instructor in the state of Mississippi. Demonstrated professional demeanor, positive contributions to a team, and desire for continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:ÌýFive (5) or more years work experience in a salon as a cosmetologist and two (2) or more years’ experience as a licensed Cosmetology Instructor.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Continually ensure that all requirements of all partners are met to include MSBCB.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with all students, clientele, coworkers, and community members.
  • Provide excellent classroom and lab instruction in modern cosmetology practices through positive and inspiring learning experiences for all students using a variety of teaching methods and making every learning situation relevant to career preparation.
  • Prepare detailed lesson plans, job sheets, and laboratory demonstrations for all units of instruction.
  • Recommend changes in the curriculum to maintain a current program.

  • Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, and other college events as required by the College.
  • Participate with the Cosmetology class in extracurricular activities, such as campus and community events.
  • Supervise all laboratory experience.

  • Maintain proper inventory of all equipment and tools assigned to the program.
  • Maintain an active advisory committee, which meets twice a year, minimally.

Job Description: Personnel interested in the position must have appropriate graduate hours in English. Overview / Educational Requirements:Ìý This position will primarily support first-year students in developing foundational skills in automation and controls.Ìý Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant industrial experience in automation, controls, and/or instrumentation. Experience may include industrial robotics, troubleshooting, calibration, PLC systems, motor controls, sensors, and process instrumentation. An Associate of Applied Science in Automation and Controls Technology, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a closely related field is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in entry-level courses such as electronic theory (AC/DC/ Digital), motor controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Provide hands-on lab training in a safe, structured learning environment.

The individual must have a minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in aviation maintenance to include: maintenance, inspection, alterations and repairs to powerplants, and airframe on heavy and light category aircraft. Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology or directly related field required. Must provide certificates received that substantiate F.A.A. certification as a mechanic with airframe and powerplant ratings. Preferred certifications are F.A.A. Part 61 Private Pilot License and F.A.A. Inspector Authorization.

  • Current CST or CSFA certification is the only certification meeting the requirements

3) Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
