Political Science

Program Information

Political Science is the branch of the social sciences that opens up a world of potential opportunities for a student’s professional and personal growth. The discipline of Political Science is composed of a wide variety of different subfields. At PRCC, we offer 3 of those diverse subfields as introductory courses in the program of Political Science to highlight the range of our discipline.

Possible careers in this program:

Anthropologist, Diplomat, Doctor, Economist, Historian, Lawyer, Market Research Analyst, Politician, Researcher, Teacher, Urban & Regional Planner, etc.

Mission of Program

Our PSC courses emphasize practical skills (i.e., proper research methods/techniques, professional use of empirical evidence, critical analysis, practical oral and writing skills) that are useful in all pathways of study.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics gives you comprehensive tools to explore salaries and incomes for any industry across the state.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
