Radiologic Technology - Curriculum

Radiology Program Outline

Program General Education Core Course Outline/General Education Core Courses
To receive the Associate of Applied Science degree, a student must complete all of the required coursework found in the Career Certificate option, Technical certificate option, and a minimum of 15 semester hours of General Education core plus BIO 1514 or 2514 Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab BIO 1524 or 2524 Anatomy and Physiology II with Lab.
The courses in the General Education Core may be taken prior to acceptance to the program or spaced out over the entire length of the program so that students complete some academic and Career Technical courses each semester or provided primarily within the last semester. Each community college will specify the actual courses that are required to meet the General Education Core Requirements for the Associate of Applied Science degree at their college. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Section 9 Standard 3 of the Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement1 describes the general education core.

PRCC Radiologic Tech student

Weather Update

Due to Special Weather Closing of PRCC Campus’ the Radiology Info session is canceled for Thursday, January 23. The next available info session will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in the Cecil Burt Special Event Room/Forrest County Campus @ 2:00 pm. Any applicants that may need to make special arrangements should reach out to the Program Director, Mrs. Hope Husband, at hhusband@prcc. The Radiology application deadline for traditional day and evening programs (Summer start) is February 1, 2025.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
