91福利 offers several choir programs to students who wish to learn more about their craft. These include: the Voices, PRCC Singers, Currents, and Rapids.
We invite you to come for a visit and experience some of the creative opportunities these programs have for YOU!听
Choir Offerings at PRCC
A variety of arts events and performances are presented by the college鈥檚 award-winning performing ensembles, visual art students and theater program.鈥� The department also hosts guest concerts and recitals on campus throughout the year.鈥� These events are held听the Ethel Holden Brownstone Center for the Arts and are open to the public. Please consult the schedule of events for a current list of upcoming performances and ticket information. Further information about The Brownstone Center can be found on their website鈥�.听
PRCC Singers is an auditioned choral ensemble of 50-60 singers (includes all members of The Voices, Currents, and Rapids). The ensemble performs at various events both on campus and in the community. PRCC Singers has an established tradition of excellence. In 2016, the PRCC Singers were chosen as a featured choir at the MMEA/ACDA State Conference. 听

The Voices is an elite performing group at 91福利 in Poplarville, MS. They serve as representatives of PRCC, singing at campus, community, and recruiting events throughout the year.
In recent years the group has performed at the Louisiana ACDA Conference, the Briarcrest Invitational, and the 2022 ACDA Southern Division Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Voices placed third at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Miami Quarterfinal in 2023 and their debut EP was nominated for a Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards (CARA) Award for best EP.
The Voices perform an average of 25 concerts each year and each member of The Voices receives a 戮 tuition service award each for fall and spring semesters. The mission of The Voices is to demonstrate the Wildcat Way (Pride, Respect, Class, and Character) through meaningful performance and student leadership.听

Auditions are a Two Round process and are held each spring for the following school year.听Second Round Audition Callbacks are invitation only.

Currents听is the advanced treble ensemble. Currents sing challenging literature ranging in style from musical theater/pop to traditional choral repertoire.
Currents rehearse twice weekly as a class and all members receive a 戮 tuition service award.听 听

Service
Scholarship
Each student that participates in the instrumental, vocal, and drama programs at Pearl River is eligible for a service scholarship*. Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of six semesters and do not have to be taken during consecutive semesters. Service scholarships within the Department of Fine Arts and Communications can be 鈥渟tacked鈥� with academic, other service scholarships, and State and Federal financial aid.听听
