About the Welding Program
Intro to Welding
This 70鈥恏our beginner course focuses on safe shop practices, core welding procedures, and hands-on skill building. Students will train on Oxyfuel cutting (OFC) and basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gaining the skills needed to perform entry鈥恖evel
cutting and fillet welds using industry鈥恠tandard practices.
NCCER Welding Combo Course听
The short-term Workforce Welding program is a 200 – 320 hour training class that prepares students to obtain an industry recognized NCCER Welding Certification听 and an entry level welding job. The course covers safety, stick, flux core, and structural welding, basic blueprint reading and beginner fitting. This is a non-college credit class.
Requirements to Enroll:
- 10 – Panel Drug Screen Results
- Valid ID
Required听Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for class:
- 听welding shield
- welding gloves
- welding cap
- steel-toed shoes
- long sleeve shirt
- earplugs
- safety glasses听
