The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs are offered through a partnership between 91福利, local WIN Job Centers and Southern Mississippi Planning & Development (SMPDD).鈥� The goal of WIOA is to provide individuals with the professional tools and skills needed to successfully join the workforce and increase employment in Mississippi.鈥�听
The WIOA program provides federal aid to eligible students enrolled in a qualifying Career-Technical or Workforce Program at PRCC.鈥� Qualifying students may receive up to $7,200 in an Individual Training Account (ITA) that may be used toward tuition, required books and required fees.鈥�鈥�听

Applying for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Funding
How to apply:
Applications for WIA are completed at your nearest WIN Job Center once a semester during the application period. To apply you must have the following:
- Official acceptance letter for program of study (Must be on PRCC letterhead).
- Two forms of ID
- Proof of household income
- Completed financial aid verification form
- Unofficial transcript
- Upcoming semester schedule
Application periods to apply for WIOA:
Summer Semester 鈥� April 23 鈥� May 7听
Fall Semester 鈥� June 19 鈥� July 14
Spring Semester 鈥� November 3 鈥� December 4听
(Dates may vary year to year)听
Note: Summer Classes must be required for the program in order to apply during the summer application period
Exceptions:听
- Short-term Programs can apply year round听
- Students in a 2-year program must have successfully completed 12 semester hours of the program or prerequisites prior to applying.听
