FlexFactorÌýisÌýan outreach, recruitment, and STEM education program designed to familiarize K-12 students with advanced manufacturing technology, entrepreneurship, and the education and career pathways that can lead to a STEM career. The program was designed to showcase the promise of these careers and help students to develop the critical thinking, creative reasoning, and problem-solving skills needed for future success.

Michelle Courtney

Meet Michelle Courtney, MS-SHIPS Coordinator. She has 18 years of experience in K-12 education and a STEM background as a former robotics coach. In her role as the MS-SHIPS Program Coordinator, She will be implementing the FlexFactor curriculum to K-12 students in PRCC’s 6 county district.ÌýÌý

How it works?

If you’re a K-12 administrator or teacher in Pearl River, Lamar, Forrest, Marion, Jefferson Davis, or Hancock counties, you can bring FlexFactor to your students! Set up a session today and give them an engaging learning experience!

Step 1

Reach out to Michelle Courtney at mcourtney@prcc.edu to schedule your FlexFactor Session.

Step 2

Sit back, while our coordinator takes over your classroom for the FlexFactor session.Ìý

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
