Policy:

91福利 students are guaranteed all rights and responsibilities of citizenship under the Constitution of the United States. In addition, students are entitled to rights and are accountable for responsibilities that reflect the values, mission, and policies of the College. These rights and responsibilities are designed to support the educational environment and personal development of all students and to ensure fair and equitable treatment within the College community.

Students will be guaranteed the right of due process in all matters involving alleged violations of institutional policy, academic integrity, or student conduct codes.

Procedure:

Upon registration, students assume the responsibility to become familiar with and to abide by the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the College. These include, but are not limited to, the following areas of student rights and responsibilities:

Student Rights Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • The right to a quality education and equitable access to academic resources.
  • The right to freedom of expression, inquiry, and peaceful assembly.
  • The right to be free from discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
  • The right to confidentiality and protection of personal educational records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • The right to due process in disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • The right to file complaints or appeals through clearly defined institutional procedures.

Student Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Adhering to all College rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Demonstrating academic integrity and honesty in all coursework.
  • Respecting the rights and dignity of others in all interactions on campus and online.
  • Following procedures outlined in institutional grievance and appeal processes.
  • Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Access and Dissemination:

Details and procedures related to student rights and responsibilities, including disciplinary actions and appeal processes, are published in the PRCC Student Handbook (“Cat Country Guide”) and, where applicable, in the 鈥淕uide to River Living鈥 for residence hall students. These documents are available on the College website and distributed/displayed on the campuses.  Updates to these publications are reviewed annually and approved through appropriate institutional governance channels.

Students enrolled in online, dual enrollment, or off-campus programs have access to these documents through the College website and student portal. Policy awareness is reinforced through orientation programming, academic advising, residence life meetings, and faculty/staff training.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
